yeah, I heard it already from some guy here, but I think that people just uses on the ring finger.
As for me I think I'd do same as my father. 5 minutes after the wedding ceremony the ring went straight back into its box. It's still shiny as the first day
I'd say ring finger. I do know of people who will wear certain *types* of ring depending on their relationship status (relatively cheap ring if they've been dating someone for a while but are not engaged, engagement ring and wedding ring). Haven't heard of different fingers meaning certain things though. That'd really confuse people who are fans of bling
Oh, and there's also people who wear a wedding ring on a chain round the neck. Usually that's because they do a job that involves working with machinery, so a ring on the finger would be dangerous and could be lost easily
I don't think of it as a "rule" but even just, from a... a "beauty" point of view, I think the marriage ring looks best on the ring finger :] Rings on the thumb/index finger signify power and dominance, I think. Or maybe I just love LOTR too much.
In the christian tradition it's the ring finger. Never the middle finger, for it is said to indicate connections to the devil (so no ring should be there).
But it's always a matter what you believe and which parts you wanna apply to yourself .
I havent ever heard of that. I don't think I ever remember seeing anyone with a ring on their thumb
I have heard of the wedding ring going on the ring finger. I always thought (I don't know if this is american/christian tradition or if it's just my miscomprehension) that the engagement ring went on the ring finger as well, then was either replaced by the wedding ring or was moved to the other hands ring finger...
