nice.... i like it more cuz you didn`t abuse of 2d.. it`s very stylish. about the render i dunno... it`s abstract and you don`t have what to improve at it. only changing materials to see wich creates a cool eye effect but that would take very much time and for some reasons it`s useless. the top light doesn`t bother me at all but you could improve that. it`s ok with me
Very dark and errie. Yet something innocent about the peice. The brown in the back seems to draw out a feeling of good in a place that would otherwise remind me of an uncomfortable place. The sharpness of the objects make it seem evil and unclean. It also sort of reminds me of a time when things are changing. Maybe a revolt of some sort. Very nice use of detail and color to conveigh emotion here. Wonderful job!
Actually i dont like it (maybe im not the right one to speak about something that i cannot create on my own but hey advanced critique encouraged)
why is it so bright in the top left? that simply destroys the whole dark feeling
the main "theme" seems to be pretty straightforward straight and sharp but in the backround it is some diffuse stuff more cloudy nebula like stuff, it simply doesnt blend in... the glow in the right middle isnt helping either it seems to belong in the middle or in the right bottom or something symetrical on the left side (on the other hand nice glow)...
(dont slaughter me now... only trying to help...) interesting work otherwise...
I won't kill you c'mon. It is good to hear from different people.
But can you go deeper? You said "this doesn't blend and this doesn't fit" but you don't explain it. It helps me in no way because I have no idea about why you thought like that. If it is your very subjective view, personal view based on intuition, then you can just stop because in that case I guess you can't explain too much hehe.
as always, every new piece of yours can make me stare at it.
you painted the lighting from scratch? amazing!
just one detail: i think the light glowing in the left corner is a bit... uhm, out of place.
i think a few volumetric light effects would make it look better, imho
keep it up
I don't really know how the light work works here, seems kinda out of place because the main source of light is on the back + bg is lighted out sightly and the architecture in back is darker than the part in the front, where is no actually any source of light (this is only my opinion at 1st view)
the small rocket/spaceship shows how heavy this architecture object is, and that's a very good point
I'll be honest and say that this one doesn't turn my head, there's a lot right with it but there's a lot that's just against what I personally like, so it's more-over just my flavour. However, the detail of the render is evident, and you haven't made a 3minute meal of this - and that's what counts. I probably wouldn't go for the blue and orangey combination, the blue is a little too striking, and the glow doesn't take my fancy too much either, but this is abstract, and what would it be without trying something unexpected? Keep going with it
I've seen this abstract style allot in dC's new pack, and to be honost I don't like it. It looks like a 3 minute job on most of the places. But I won't tell you that you don't have to do this anymore, or that this piece just sucks, because it's good to experiment
When I saw this in thumbnails, it appeared to me like a cloud of black birds sharply descending on it's prey. Now that I see it in full view, I see that the architecture seems to be equally dramatic (and dangerous). Thumbs up to the brown/orange color background to counter the turquoise, really pops it out.
