City is a combination of old and new. Either one can't make one complete city.

Very interesting. The layers in the photograph are intriguing-- like you said, the old city in the foreground with the new city in the background almost like a shadow.

Oh! This is a beautiful pic. The lighting and saturation in colours are great. The distortion and angle are a plus! Everything looks like a beautiful painting.

Indeed. Let's just say it was an error XD

I am going to get the 70-200mm F/4 IS USM! =P

tell me, how many times do you use a telephoto?

I have met people with 70-200mm f/4 IS L or the f/2.8 version. But they told me that they only use it once in a blue moon. It's either to a F1 circuit or just shooting birds.

I'd suggest you spend on a good zoom, like the Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM. Sweet lens :P

Lol... well, hope you be satisfied about it. Hehe, i'm just giving some hardcore advice. Bring along a good body, the 400D AWB is about 30% warmer.

great composition! love the way you've got foreground, mid and back all covered and it leads you into the shot in a curve from left to right to middle.... so smooth when viewing. Great tonal choice too...

..+fav :)

the ship on the left really has great oriental-looking colours which really adds a whole new sense and dimension to the photograph, when i saw this as a thumb, i was instantly enticed to explore.

Very pretty; love the colours. Looks like a still from a movie scene :) It's the lighting and saturation in the colours that did the trick, I think. Love the distant skyline, too. Looks like a painting.

You just said something what my girlfriend did! :o

Thanks ;) I was in the port where goods were dumped into the boats, and I thought it might be forbidden. And I was a bit frightened, not because of the workers but the dog around the corner!
