Dedicated to my love
Can you believe it? I drafted this before Angelworld 8 is up. I actually had this draft when I was outlining this ART section main page. Finally on that night I really worked out and completed this piece under the music my love chose for me. It was so calm and we had the music. We lay on the ground and were inspired by the music. I see the collapse of the worlds, but is that the transformation of the worlds into a new one? Structures break down and turn back to energy, draining into somewhere and form a coming new world.
Also, are the two parts separating? Or are they coming together? Is it the formation? Or is it the destruction. Beginning is from an ending, and vice versa. Everything is still, energy, and hence the name.
In such chaos there is such beauty.
To me this looks like its being torn apart and all the light that was there is being sucked away in to the darkness below.
Makes me wonder what can be saved once it has all been sucked away. Will there be any chance of saving all the small parts that came together to make something great at some point in time.
I dont know. Might sound stupid im very tired and im not that great with words.
This is a stunning peice to say the least and its nice to know that its alot more than eye candy to you and all the people that have seen it.
A goes without saying.
I probably don't even need to comment on this but it's just so awesome. Kinda looks like a representation of life. Tearing itself apart in the middle to make that which is new. Excellent job as always!
This is JUST the kind of work I love... not only does it have a distinct "aura" to it, but it also is one of those awesome kind of things you find on desktops and posters,and I LOVE IT!... Mindy says it's neat... she's sitting next to me.
Reading your journal and hearing you talk about that you make art from love and nothing else simply evokes the meaning of this piece in my eyes. First, it's the duality of love - Love always comes from two sides, and when it's mutual, a vast energy is kept between two souls, a constant force that pulls them together. That same force can pull them apart just as hard. And where every emotion may give different meanings, I'll elaborate on some;
The fear of losing duality, losing the other half and the urge to visually express that fear. If you can see it, caged, in your visual language, you can look at it and come to rest. The two halfs breaking apart, debris, sharp shards of the now frozen hearts, moving away, and the energy that once was held comes free. The greatest release of energy, the greatest loss for a spirit. That might be why 'water' comes to mind and why you specifically chose blue for color. It's a calming image for you, because when you see it, you feel safe in duality and love.
The exploding energy might also show the moment before the first kiss with your love, the romantic nights you have shared when your faces, your bodies came closer together and the energy just built and built and built but discharged fully between the two of you, a sudden silence as all lips were sealed... When that happens, it feels like every single fibre of your body is pulled towards your partner... and that's what you portray here, two structures that almost seem to consist of needle-like forms that suggest magnetism, the force of attraction... wanting to be together, to be one...
But most of all
it might be your heart, opening up for the thoughts and mindset of everyone on the planet. It might be a boy, who has grown up in a racist family that opens it's heart to tolerance. A new beginnning. The opening of the eyes of a newborn, where it's heart opens for the first time to let feelings flow in. It's one thing; beautiful. Calming. And so, so deep.
no one could ever say this piece doesn't have a great amount of energy to it because it does my favourite parts are the bottom and bottom left. I also like your different approach on the text if I can be honest here, I am not entirely sure about this piece. especially near the middle and top left part of it because it looks fairly messy. kinda like smudged if you know what I mean. there is no real part that just grabs my attention and pulls me in. that said, it's still a nice image though just probably not up to what I know you can do
